How to curl hair in ringlets?

i have an 1'; curling iron,a 1/2'; curling iron, and a chi. i know how to get curls with a chi but how with the curling irons? today is thanksgiving and I'm going to my aunts house, shes one of those people u have to impress, so please help! I don't know how to curl the back hair either.

Separate your hair into medium-sized chunks.

Spray hairspray all over one chunk, and wrap it around your 1'2'; curling iron.

Let it sit for 30 to 45 seconds and gently let the curl fall.

Spray A LOT of hairspray on the piece again and repeat with the rest of your hair.

Clip hair on a 1 1/2 to 2 inch strand of hair and clip it close to the base. Start curving your hair the the direction you want it to curl.

Continue curling until you reach the top part and all of that strand is wrapped around the iron. Then hold it for ten seconds. Slowly pull the iron out of your hair without openning the iron. Then slowly release the iron once it has reached the bottom of your hair. If you don't really get it, i searched this video of a woman curling her hair simalerly:
