Wanting a perm but very confused on which kind?!?

i have naturally frizzy hair that kind of gets wavy my chi can barely conquer when i straighten it almost every day... its very fine and when i try to curl it with a curling iron from my straightened or natural hair it refuses to hold even no matter what kind of product i use..

what im looking for is a perm that isnt tightly curled.. i want to be able to still straighten my hair but at the same time make it so i can curl my hair as well and have it hold.. is there anything like this?!

heres how my hair is normally and how i would like it to continue to look when i straighten it:

I would say...your best bet if you want a perm for your length of hair, would be to go with a spiral perm. When you get a perm, the way you tell how the curl is going to be tight or loose, is by the size of the rod they use to roll your hair in. The smaller the rod, the tighter the curl. The bigger size rod, the looser and more free the curl will fall. If you explain to your hairdresser that you want a larger size rod, they will know what you mean. Just tell her or him that, and everything should work out and your hair will form to the pattern of the rod and the curls will fall down nicely and you will still be able to straighten it well! hope this helped!Wanting a perm but very confused on which kind?!?
if your going to get it done tell who evers doing it exactly that.

if you want loose curls ask for them.

sorry i wasnt much help.
don't get a perm.

while your hair's still wet, just scrunch it up in your hands while it's air-drying. it'll get a lot curlier, i promise, AND DON'T COMB IT OUT AFTER IT STARTS DRYING. don't put too many products in it. it'll weigh your hair down and give you lank, weird-looking half curls.
dont get a perm! thats just unnecessary damage! get some curls rock cream and curl booster spray its by bed head i believe use that to scrunch your hair to get it curly with out the crunchy feel and when you want it straight put mouse in it when its wet then blow it out with a round brush to get added volume at the scalp and a thermal spray on each section befor you straighten it. i use a chi and i know that it can get your hair looking good! hopefully i helped a little!
This is a common problem with natural curl. Most of the time women with natural curl, is uneven. And, with the humidity in most areas it just causes natural curl to frizz even more. More than likely if you would flat iron your hair, it would easily go back to your wave/curl. So, here is my suggestion. If you are planning on still flat ironing your hair, getting a perm will only make it harder to flat iron, and even if you were able to get it straight, it would cause your perm to relax faster, causing the perm to possible just a couple of weeks. Your hair may seem fine to you, however, as hair stylists we look at several things. One is how much hair per square inch in density. For instance, you may have finer hair, but you may still have more hair than someone with course hair. Another thing is your hair is long. Therefore, if you got a loose perm it would just hang limp because the length of your hair would weigh the perm down. So, here is my suggestion. Before going to the expense of a perm, wear your hair scrunched for a few days, and put the flat iron down. If you find yourself still wanting to grab that chi, forget the perm. It will only cause you problems. However, if you seem to like having the carefree style of your waves and loose curls. Do go for a perm. Ask your stylist to either give you purple or peach rods which are the biggest rods. Also, have him/her dust off the ends after the perm not before. And, tell her to only nip the ends. Wear your hair carefree for at least the first month. Then after that you can continue with your chi. This will allow the perm to stay in a little longer so you get your money's worth on it. Please use some sort of thermal protect when using a flat iron. I can't tell you how many times I've seen girls with beautiful such as yours, ruin their hair by burning the ends off, due to the excessive heat. Good luck girl!!!
